Staying on top of data protection law remains vital for charities and not-for-profit organisations, in order to safeguard the people we serve and avoid the risk of large fines or reputational damage. However, the shake-ups many organisations have faced in the last six months have made compliance extra challenging, as services rapidly shift to digital formats and more staff than ever handle data at home. This is why social sector consultants Eastside Primetimers are offering free data protection support (up to two hours) for the month of October to each of the first 10 organisations to sign up.
This support could include:
- Email/phone support, to answer all data-related questions and queries (Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00)
- Guidance on handling Subject Access Requests and Right To Be Forgotten submissions
- Guidance on handling data breaches
- Reviews of privacy policies
- Flexible/homeworking protocols
