Big Potential Advanced

As well as helping with social investment, Big Potential Advanced also supports social organisations with an ambition to pursue a contract above £1m – Eastside Primetimers is an approved provider.

The Big Potential fund, which is managed by SIB and funded by the Big Lottery, is specifically aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations seeking to grow.

Under the Big Potential Advanced stream, grants of between £50,000 and £150,000 are available for VCSE organisations based in England who have line of sight on a particular contract and need specialist support.

How do I become contract ready?

As an approved provider we would be happy to talk to you about supporting your application and, if successful, your contract readiness work. We have a track record of raising money through investment and contract bids – as a provider for SIB’s ICRF programme, we raised £16,220,879 for various clients. This included helping Blackpool GP cooperative FCMS win a contract for NHS 111 helpline services with a value to them of £2.3 million, where we provided specialist support on partnership agreements, bid pricing and bid production and TUPE advice.

On Big Potential, we have supported Suffolk-based leisure trust Abbeycroft Leisure to expand into providing leisure services for an academy school in Cambridgeshire, worth £3.5m over 7 years, by providing bid writing resource and expertise in financial modelling to allow Abbeycroft to focus resources on the best opportunities for them. And our work helped the Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) to secure an HMRC contract for disability access services, with a minimum contract value of £234,148 – HMRC and RAD will work together for three years, in an initiative aimed at making HMRC’s services more accessible to Deaf people.
