If you are a charitable organisation focused on heritage or considering a heritage project, two valuable sources of support for conservation and creating positive social impacts are available. These are the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s (NLHF) Resilient Heritage grant scheme and the separate Architectural Heritage Fund.
Heritage causes are wide-ranging and can include buildings and monuments; industrial, maritime and transport heritage; cultures and memories; land and natural heritage; museums, libraries and archives, and community heritage.
Resilient Heritage grants are for organisations that want to build their capacity, or achieve strategic change to improve the management of heritage. Grants can fund activities to help you acquire new skills or knowledge, or new models of governance, leadership and business. Whether you’re facing challenges around income and fundraising, or considering new initiatives such as social investment, Resilient Heritage can also support these processes.
The Architectural Heritage Fund‘s advice, grants and loans are designed to help them deliver the feasibility and development needs of emerging projects with experienced and expert partners such as Eastside Primetimers.
At Eastside Primetimers we are able to help organisations apply for these grants, which we believe will be enormously helpful to organisations as they seek to strengthen future sustainability. We are specialists in securing funding, having worked exclusively with charities and social enterprises for 12 years.
We have a high success rate developing proposals – for example, when we were an approved provider on the National Lottery Community Fund (Big Lottery) Big Potential Fund we submitted over 100 applications with a 72% success rate. Our national team of advisers are experienced in social enterprise, service design and improvement, community engagement, partnership building, fundraising, impact measurement, governance and more.
If you are interested in how we could help you, we can offer an exploratory conversation to discuss how these funds might work to support your resilience, and how we can work in partnership to develop great projects. Should we feel there is a fit, our initial application development time is funded at our risk with the aim of generating a valuable and impactful enterprise.
