Ann is the founder & director of Bloomsbury Beginnings CIC, a consultancy, project management and training organisation specialising in start up business modelling programmes for social entrepreneurs, “mission driven” and parent founders. Ann has advised 500+ entrepreneurs through the start up and workspace programmes, more than 100 of whom have launched new ventures. Ann also provides strategic planning, impact evaluations and leadership training for small charities and social enterprises.
Key skills & experience
Ann has had a varied career as a senior manager (to Assistant Director level), trainer and consultant in the charity, social enterprise and local government sectors, leading multi-disciplinary teams, pitching for large contracts and advising a range of organisations and their leaders on issues of governance, policy and strategy. As a social enterprise founder she has also undertaken community building, social media management, fundraising and marketing.
Ann’s key skills are in leadership training and facilitation, business modelling, writing strategy and conducting qualitative evaluations. Her background is in youth justice and community safety, but has also gained recent experience in early years, sustainability and HIV+ services.
