Bernie Morgan

I work with a variety of organisations to build them towards financial sustainability. These are charities or social enterprises.  To do this, I work on governance, communications, fundraising and business development. I also work on developing social impact frameworks and social investment propositions.

I am an experienced senior manager, and CEO, in the non-profit sector. As the first CEO of Responsible Finance, I led the development of the UK’s responsible finance industry. I am a trustee of RBS’s Social and Community Capital which is a social investment charity set up by RBS/NatWest.  I chair the board of The Dreamland Trust, a charity that protects the heritage and education aspects of Dreamland in Margate, the world’s oldest amusement park.

I have also been a grant maker – working for Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, BBC Children in Need and the Association of Charitable Foundations

I also own my own chocolate and events café (Bernie’s Chocolate Bar in Margate) –which I set up single handedly – and so have real-life experience in business start-ups and cafes.
