Mike has worked in commercial business with corporate and public sector clients and as a senior charity leader and CEO. He combines this practical experience with his academic training to help charities with change management, governance, finance, and business resilience.

Having worked with a huge range of clients across many contexts, Mike can build trusting relationships with all stakeholders and quickly understanding what makes an organisation tick. Mike gets hands on with complex problems and ideas, and then make things work, with meticulous attention to detail.
Mike can develop and run training and team development workshops, interrogate financial information, undertake desk research, plan and implement projects and produce work that is rigorous, thoughtful and evidence based. Being experienced as a trustee and manager, he appreciates the challenges of leadership and knows how important it is for his contribution to be both practical and sensitive.
Mike holds a charities MSc, a Diploma in Charity Accounting and a Diploma in Charity Management. He is a certified Prince2 Practitioner, and trained to use the psychometric tools, Myer-Briggs Type Indicator and Firo-B. He is affiliated to the Chartered Governance Institute, a member of the Charity Law Association, and a Fellow of the RSA.
