Key skills & experience
In a 30 year career in the private sector, he has developed skills around strategic analysis, business and marketing planning which are transferable into this sector – even though the goals of the organisations are very different. As a charity trustee before joining EP, he was able to test this assertion by developing a business plan and raising finance for my organisation to rebuild its facilities. Richard has worked on a number of mergers and integrations in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He has a great ability to help organisations develop and implement practical plans.
2014 – present: Programme manager for EP: Big Potential, Investment & Contract Readiness Fund, Impact Readiness Fund
2012 / 2013: Project manager for merger of Eastside Consulting and Primetimers
Richard is chair of the Royal Canoe Club Trust, which provides sporting facilities for a range of watersports based at Teddington, London, where he managed a £1million buildings redevelopment project, including raising grant and loan finance. He also does some consulting and training work in other sectors.
