We work to ensure that our process is fully inclusive and reaches a diverse range of potential candidates. For example, we use a Job Description Analysis Tool, which is focused on improving the inclusivity and conversion rates of the job description and job adverts so that a richly diverse set of candidates are encouraged to apply.
Our Executive Search approach includes a targeted search campaign utilising multiple networks, as well as a mix of media and job boards. We have found this method to reach a far more diverse pool of candidates than advertising alone would do and have had great results recruiting candidates with the required skills from under-represented groups, using these methods.
Quality charity recruitment takes up substantial time and resource – we are happy to assist with the entire process or to provide support on particular aspects where an independent view or extra resource would be of benefit. This could include attracting a diverse range of quality candidates; candidate search & headhunting; candidate assessment and shortlisting; skill based interviewing; behavioural assessments and virtual onboarding.
Our Charity Recruitment Team
Bernice Rook, Director of Membership and Recruitment, heads up our recruitment services. She specialises in the human side of organisations and has a wealth of experience advising on staffing and resourcing issues in the charity and commercial sectors. She also leads on the development and recruitment of the Eastside Primetimers consultancy, interim and board talent pools.
25% of our company profits go to our Eastside Primetimers Foundation. The Foundation provides free events and resources and has a dual mission. First, it helps individuals from other walks of life with career transitions into the not-for-profit sector. Second, the Foundation explores issues relating to the Future of Work in the sector including flexible work, wellbeing, diversity, automation and intergenerational workplaces.
