We are excited to announce that Tracey O’Keefe has been appointed as our new Head of Partnerships & Mergers.
Tracey is an Eastside Primetimers member with a strong marketing background and years of experience in the social sector as a volunteer, trustee, chair, and social entrepreneur. In the last decade Tracey has focused on developing a procurement partnership, the Hospice Quality Partnership, which brought together 70 hospice partners representing 31% of the market. This represented an model for the joint purchasing of goods and services in the charity sector. Tracey became Managing Director and built up the Partnership’s collective buying power to £630m annually, unlocking unique deals with suppliers and strengthening the viability of the hospices involved.
Tracey currently holds board roles with Cheshire Young Carers; Salad Money, a social enterprise supporting NHS employees with affordable finance; Marketing Cheshire, part of the local LEP and the official tourist board for the region; and the North West Universities Purchasing Consortium.
We are delighted that Eastside Primetimers will now be able to draw on Tracey’s experience.
In the past three years under the leadership of our present mergers & partnerships director Dave Garratt, we have successfully broadened Eastside Primetimers’ merger services to include feasibility studies and due diligence. We have concluded nine mergers in the last three years alone, and 29 since we began our merger practice – see our track record here. With Tracey’s appointment, we feel that there is an opportunity to broaden further still and help charities drive value through innovative partnerships such as procurement circles, back-office sharing, joint ventures, commercial agreements and more.
We thank Dave for his hard work and wish Tracey the very best in her new role, which starts officially on August 9th.
